U.S. Budget Watch is a historical project of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, which provided analysis around the 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns. This site is not regularly updated.

In continuing its analysis of the 2012 presidential election, U.S. Budget Watch, analyzed the final four Republican presidential candidates in Primary Numbers: The GOP Candidates and the National Debt. The report provides estimates of the respective debt impacts of each candidate’s comprehensive platform proposals as of mid-February, with an addendum document provisionally analyzing tax cuts that Governor Romney published in stages the same week.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget is the parent organization of the US Budget Watch Project. It is a bipartisan, non-profit group committed to educating the public about issues that have significant fiscal policy impact. The Committee is made up of some of the most important budget experts in the country including many of the past Directors of the Budget Committees, the Congressional Budget Office, the Office of Management and Budget and the Federal Reserve Board.
